İmplant

The implant is artificial teeth roots that are placed into the jawbone to regain its function and aesthetics instead of missing teeth. It is a scientifically supported and well-accepted treatment that is used for a long time to replace missing teeth. Implant enables us to make fixed and removable prostheses on the implant by imitating a tooth root. The operation is carried out in a short time without any pain under local anesthesia. After the implant has been placed, the implant waits for the osseointegration with bones. The average time to move to the upper structure is 3 months in the lower jaw and 3-6 months in the upper jaw. Nowadays, the treatment options which we offer to our patients are being improved and increased with the developing implant technology. Implants with a diameter and length suitable for the jawbone are preferred in the area where the implants are to be placed. However, some situations that affect the general health badly or the bones that have been left blank for a long time may need additional surgical treatment protocols. In such a case, our patients are informed face to face during the examination. In the case of patients with some chronic and systemic disorders, communication between the doctor and patient should be powerful, and implantation should be applied according to the existing disease. As long as the patient’s health condition is well, there is no age limit for implantation.

Among the reasons why an implant is the first thing that comes to mind of doctors and patients;

  • Not harming natural teeth while imitating the missing tooth
  • Allowing for the placement of the durable prosthesis
  • Preventing bone loss with osseointegration (integration with bones) in the bone applied.
  • Providing a better masticatory force to the patient because of being imitated the tooth root.
  • Supporting the removable prosthesis with a small number of implants in upper and lower jaws in severe bone loss.
  • Aesthetic appearance
  • Being good oral hygiene in the long-term and a long-lived treatment option
